Halloween Night

 Callum was some version of a "ghost rider".  He had fun scaring people.

 Each of the kids were actually dressed up as something different at school & then changed for trick-or-treating.

 Little-Red-Riding-Hood Brienna took the 2 younger ones trick-or-treating.  Ben had a fit when they came to get the jeep so they could go to a few houses on the "far-sides" of our "big" town.  He didn't understand why they couldn't go trick-or-treating to the 2 houses on our street that didn't have porch lights on.  He didn't want to skip those houses.  I guess that was one rule we should have told him BEFORE they started trick-or-treating.  He finally did settle down & finished the evening.

Zane--the Grim Reaper.  We said he should have been the Grim "creeper"--just show off his "creeper smile" without his mask.  

Rusty and I were able to stay home this year!  Rusty was getting the hunting stuff ready since Zane's elk hunt starts Nov. 1st (for the whole month of November).  We ended up having 37 trick-or-treaters (not counting our kids & a few of their friends).

Halloween Music Program, Halloween Party, & Pumpkins

 We have an awesome music teacher--the kids loved their songs & did a great job.  Emmalee is the ghost on the right front.

 I videoed their songs, so this is before the song.  She was excited to be a ghost (only the kids that brought sheets from home were able to be a ghost--a note when home a week ago asking for a pillow case or sheet for ghosts.  I guess only 3 kids brought anything).

 The second song--they used boomwhacker sticks to make the sound of creeping up and down stairs.  

The kids just hit the stick in their hand & it makes different tones.  It was cool!

 I ended up being in charge of this party (as far as games &/or crafts went).  The other mom ended up being out of town this week.  Here is Emmalee enjoying the small bag of popcorn.

 1/3 of Ben's pre-school class (Sierra has a brother in 3rd grade also--Royce & Mamie was staying at Sierra's house & then of course, Ben)  They were having fun playing Bingo also!

Red Ribbon Week & Halloween Costume (Part 1)

The Jr. High & High School have dress-up days during Homecoming week.  The elementary have dress up days during Red Ribbon week.

Monday was Twin Day--Friends don't let friends do drugs.

 I suggested to Emmalee that she be a twin with her daddy.  Rusty is the 5th grade teacher.

 So her is the mini-"Miss" Stewart.

 At school--she even has the 5th grade money in her pocket (that Rusty uses in his classroom).  Cute!

 Here is the thank you's I gave to the students that helped me at Spooktacular.

Tuesday was Boot Day (Stomp out Drug Use) and Wednesday was School Spirit day (wear black & orange).  I didn't take pictures on either of these days.

 Thursday was Halloween--Emmalee was a fairy--all in purple.  (Notice how dark it still is outside at 7:30 in the morning!)

And his superman cape.  I had a make-up piano lesson that morning, so I didn't make it to Ben's pre-school "party".  They were able to go around the jr/high school & trick-or-treat at all the classes.

 We carved pumpkins for Family Home Evening--Ethan wasn't home, and he never did get to his pumpkin.

 Ben had a blast "designing" his--he gets to choose eyes, ears, arms, etc. for his.  Brienna & Zane getting theirs done.

 Even Emmalee gutted her pumpkin by herself.  She wanted a cat & a moon & a bat.  I ended up carving hers, and the moon didn't turn out, so she ended up with a cat & a bat.

 Ben's turned out adorable!  He was quite proud of his--he did it all by himself (mostly) ;)

Last Football Game of the Season

 Emmalee also rode her bike.

 The last game was Saturday, Oct. 26th against West Yellowstone.

 Brienna got to play with cute little Lucas.

Zane started & played most of the game.  I video his games, so I don't get a lot of still pictures.  Pamela was there, so she took a lot of these.

 On the line.  This is the last 6-man game also.  Idaho tried to get a 6-man league going, and we thought that 6 teams committed to it, but in the end it was us and 1 other team (Camas Co.). 

 Since there were only 2 teams, we are petitioning to get back into our 8-man league for next year.

 Getting ready to attempt a sack--he had about 5 super-close sacks.  Just another 1/8 of a second & he would have had it!  

 A week or so ago, he injured his hip joint so he favors his other leg a bit.  But the adrenaline kicks in so he plays hard!  He had an exceptional game--along with the rest of the team.

 It was a perfect day for football--sunny, gentle breeze (or no breeze) and in the high 50's.  Perfect!

 If I'm not mistaken, the score was 67-0.  We ended a quarter early because the other team didn't want any more injuries--we were playing with a running clock, but they called the game at the end of the 3rd quarter.

 So proud of #61 & the rest of the Bobcats.  It was a great season.

 I was able to sneak a hug in--but 

almost regretted it--he was pretty sweaty & stinky!  But a hug is a hug!

  Ethan had to work & didn't think he would be able to watch the whole thing, but since it was called early, he was able to see it all.

I went home and got the pan of brownies I had baked earlier in the morning for the community chili feed.  (I had also baked a double batch of pumpkin cookies since the oven was on.)
