Basketball Update--

Well, our boys had a disappointing loss on Tuesday night (66-64), and they were elimated from the tournament.  And that means no State Basketball tournament in Boise. 

But I do want to finally post more pictures of Ethan's basketball games.

Here he is helping out at Little Bobcats (on Saturday mornings in Jan. & most of Feb.).

And this is senior night.  He actually gave his mom a hug!!!

Pamela took pictures, but must not have seen the hug.  (Plus she was trying to keep Emmalee & Benjamin in the stands instead of on the court--with the help of Brienna)

I can't believe Ethan's basketball career is over!!  He certainly made huge gains since he first started playing 6 years ago.

At the end of the game, he got hit in the mouth/nose & ended up with a bloody nose & had to leave the game & go to the locker room.

So when he got home, he told me that there was just a drop or 2 of blood on his shorts.  I asked if I could see the blood & needed to treat the stains.

He said that he really couldn't see more than a speck or 2.

So how much do you see?  Good thing I decided to look before washing them! 

The games they did lose during their season were all close ones.  Sometimes those are the harder games to lose.

I am so proud of Ethan--and the rest of his teammates. This bunch of boys are great--they have good sportsmanship, friendship, and I wish they could have made it to state.

Blue & Gold--My Last Pack Meeting as "Cubmaster"

Really--I am no longer the cubmaster.  But since the new cubmaster is so new & didn't feel comfortable running the blue & gold (& since we already had it planned), he was more than willing to let me still be in charge.

The boys were all asked to bring a dessert.  Callum decorated a pan of rice crispie treats all by himself.  He wrote "Dubois, ID." & drew a paw print with peanut butter & chocolate chips.

The original plan was to have him make a flag (since he LOVES flags & anything to do with patriotism), and to leave the other pan of treats plain.

But I had piano lessons after school, and Brienna ended up decorating a bit more than Callum wanted her to (she actually did it all ☺).  But everything turned out in the end.

I love these little guys--one of our leaders had a dad cut them out & she painted all of them.

This was my 7th Blue & Gold Banquet (about 6 1/2 years--I was called shortly after our move in Aug. of 2003). 

We had a good turn out--about 80 people.

Callum receiving his Scout Month Patch from his momma--the last award I will give him as a leader!!!  Yay--I can now just be a cub mom!!

Our boys--Callum is the 4th from the left.  It was a good night.  I will miss being the cubmaster, but I am relieved that I am "done" with being in charge!!  I have given most of the scouting stuff I had to our new leader.  So that gave me most of a shelf on my small bookshelf!  And just in time--I needed the top of the bookshelf for our new printer (side note:  the printer part of our 3-in-1 HP has stopped working.  the copy/scanner part still works).  Anyways--we got the printer with our computer a few months ago, & so I got it out yesterday since I had scout stuff I needed to print off the computer.

So all the stuff on top of the bookself was moved to the cleared off bottom shelf. 

So--good-bye, farewell, I am so glad I was able to hand off another responsibilty.

(But I am happy that I still have my foot in cubbing ☺)
