Easter 2016

Easter weekend was the beginning of our Spring break.  The kids have enjoyed the warmer (50 degrees by afternoon!) and have played with their soccer ball, basketballs, and new jump ropes all week.

We also enjoyed having Ethan and Tiffany with us on Saturday to dye eggs (fresh from the chickens--love the colors!) and then Brienna, Anthony, and his mom, Laurie, joined us on Sunday afternoon for dinner.  (But I forgot to take any pictures!!)

"Start Where You Are"--Part 2

Track has started--Both Callum and Zane are in track this year.
Callum is throwing discus and shot put.  he hopes to one day long jump, but we don't have a jumping pit at our track to practice at.
Zane high jumped at the first meet, but wants to focus on the mile, so didn't jump at the last one.

 Mile race--first time 5:59
2nd time--wanted to beat the guy from Firth (behind him in the blue)--there were only 2 people running from 1A & then the Firth guy (2A) & the other runners were all 3A.

"Start Where You Are"--Part 1

Last month in stake conference one of the speakers quoted Pres. Uchtdorf's talk (linked here) and one point stuck out about starting where you are (& also "Simplifying").

Sometimes when I have a few minutes to blog, I think, "I have skipped so much so I need to go back and catch up!"  But I decided today in church that I will just start where I am & go from there.  So if my blogs are few and far between, I hope you will understand that I am "starting where I am".
