After we were done at the beach, we had sandwiches for dinner.
It was nice in the shade!
Dad had just gotten back from a quick trip to town. Pamela discovered that she wouldn't have enough gas to get back to Lander (in her new car), and so Dad stayed for about 1/2 hour (watching everyone play in the sand) and then he drove to get some gas. He was gone for about 2 1/2-3 hours. He made it back just in time to eat a sandwich.
And it was good timing because the little bugs were starting to come out and bug us (Mom calls them "no-see-ems"). Dad, Carter & David putting the gas into Pamela's car.
On the drive down, we spotted a moose on the other side of Fiddler's Lake. We drove to the other side & everyone got out to take a closer look.
From the road heading down to Lander.
On the other side of the lake--closer to the moose.
Turns out it was a young bull.
And behind him was a great blue heron bird.
I stopped at the top of the switchbacks to enjoy the view. It had been quite a few years since I had stopped at the top.
Looking down towards Lander & Riverton.
I love visiting home & enjoying nature.
