Grandma Bowhay's Funeral--Part 1

Rusty's Grandma died on Jan. 15, 2014 at the age of 98 1/2.  She fell a couple of weeks ago, and never really recovered.  She ended up coming down with pneumonia & didn't recover.
Rusty was one of the pall-bearers.  We really don't know the Cannon/Bowhay side of the family so it was nice to "meet" a lot of them.
She was buried by her husband, Bill Bowhay in Dubois.

It was a nice service.  The funeral was held at the baptist church & they had a luncheon after the burial.  Brienna sang a song with Tammie ("When He Calls My Name" by Hilary Weeks) that I accompanied.  Good thing I didn't sing with them, because I had lost my voice over the weekend & was just getting it back on Monday.
Shawn, Aunt Jessie, & Uncle Bruce (from Montana), Uncle Jack, & Keith (& you can see the top of Callum's head).  It was nice to have Keith & 2 of his sibblings there.
Brienna & Emmalee standing by the casket.
 Tammie, Mike, Zane & Cody
 Rusty & Uncle Earl.
A lot of Keith Stewart's family.
Not a great picture, but this is Ron (from Utah that Grandma raised most of his life & talked a lot about), her son Jerry Bowhay & his wife Leisa.
And the headstone.  She is actually buried in the older part of the cemetery.

January--Misc. photos

Emmalee wanted to take a picture of her creation she built with her blocks.  She took about 10 pictures (with my camera) but I decided to pick this one that she was in too :)
One of the weeks in January, pre-school was learning about the letter "R".  So Ben made a robot out of paper sack.
He was almost too big for the sack!
Over Human Rights day, Ethan & Tiffany came for the weekend.  They wanted to watch the basketball game against Mackay, go shopping in IF on Saturday & get their registry started, & then on Monday, attend Grandma Bowhay's funeral.
Grandma Bowhay (Irene Haight Cannon Bowhay) was Rusty's grandma & she passed away on Jan. 15th.  Her funeral was on the 20th.  This was one of our meals--we had 11 people around our table!
 Spaghetti!  Yum :)
Ethan "modeling" the beard I crocheted for him.  Since he doesn't get to have facial hair, he decided he would wear a removable one.  Actually--he just wanted something to protect his face from the biting winds of Rexburg.
I also made a beard for Ben--it was the small size (youth small) but I guess he needs the extra small.  He really likes it, though!

Fun at the Land--Part 2

more fun at the campfire.  This was the most sheltered part of the land.
It was a windy day--Rusty had to include him in the photo.
Mike & Tammie & Colter also made it for a few hours.
Callum taking off on one of the 4-wheelers.
Ben & Emmalee holding on while daddy takes them on a ride!
 My honey!
Emmalee & Ben--at least they are still up-right!
Skeeter & Ken taking the stove back to their truck.
The jeep made it down to the camper & the "sheltered" part.
Brienna on the 4-wheeler.  (Zane & Jake had to leave before we got to the 4-wheelers)
There goes Callum--good thing he has his 4-wheeler "permit" making him legal.
Rusty and the kids headed back!  When Rusty almost made it back to the road, the kids tipped over spilling Emmalee!
It was a super fun afternoon.  We had to cut it short because the adults were headed to the basketball game at Fort Hall & needed to leave around 3 pm.

Fun at the Land--Part 1

Saturday, January 11th we went out to our land to have some fun.
Uncle Ken & Uncle Skeeter were up for the weekend & wanted to go play in the snow at the land.
After Emmalee had Little Bobcats, we gathered up the stuff to have a hot dog roast & some hot chocoate at the land.  Rusty went out to start the fire & we all followed.
The kids had a blast throwing snow at each other,
(Jake Mickelsen hung out with us before Zane & him needed to catch the bus at 2 pm)
Ben ran around & had fun!
Emmalee getting ready to roast a hot dog.
We boiled some water so we could make the hot cocoa.
A bunch of people roasting the hot dogs.
When we were done eating, we got the 4-wheelers ready to ride & pull the sled.

New Year's at Aunt Pamela's

We went to Pamela's house on New Year's Eve day.
I made a couple of cheese balls, watched some football, did a puzzle, & played some games.  Then we celebrated the New Year with the east coast (10 pm).
This is how Emmalee brought in the new year--sick :(  She threw up and had a little fever.  But after a good night's rest, she felt better the next day.
Pamela & Brienna putting a puzzle together.
Making some noise--at 10 pm :)
This is the nativity puzzle that Laurie & her family gave me for Christmas.
Laurie wasn't sure if all the pieces were there (they found this at a yard sale!) but every piece was there!
playing games
Emmalee playing in the snow.
Ben having fun!
I love the size of the shovel that he is using outside!
It was a fun break for us!  We headed home just after lunch on the 2nd of January.
