County Fair 2012

Brienna setting up for her 4-H demonstration.
She taught us how to make an "awesome" necklace.  Her demonstration qualified for state fair, so she will be doing her demonstration on Sept. 1st.
Zane's demonstration was on the parts of a pig.  He did a good job--he just didn't like to look up very often (or have eye contact).
He used a laser pointer to point to the parts of the pig.
Callum did NOT want to do a demonstration--but he did a great job!
I just couldn't get him to hold his paper down so it wasn't covering his face!  (he didn't ever look over at me).
The kids' decorated their pig pen--with a Star Wars theme.
 Zane & Callum
Their 3 Star War pigs :)
Zane & Brienna giving me "cheesy" grins.
 Brienna washing her pig.
 They all helped each other.
And it was a good thing, because Callum's pig escaped from the washing cage.
Luckily Rusty & Zane "walked" him back around the other end & through the barn.
I guess he didn't want to be clean??!
After the market animals sale there was a watermelon eating contest.  Benjamin L♥VES watermelon!
Emmalee and Ben were soooo ready to go!
Afterwards, they got to eat as much as they wanted.  I know Zane ate at least 12 pieces (not just during the contest).

It was a good & successful fair (again).  But I'm so glad when it's over!

First Day of School

Zane started his Freshman year today.  The only reason I have this picture of him is I threatened to go to school and pull him out of his class if he didn't let me take one at home.  (hee-hee!)
Brienna is now a Junior!!!  I can't believe it!
She is taking 2 dual credit classes this year (College Algebra & US History).  So pretty!
Callum rode his bike to the Jr. High today.
Callum's first day as a 6th grader (and that is Zane walking in the school)
Emmalee is my 2nd grader this year.  She is excited to be across from Dad's classroom, sit in a desk (not at tables) & have a locker!
Pre-school starts next week.  Benjamin will be going 2 days a week for 2 hours each day.

Zane's pig (Ham Solo) was the smallest of the 3 pigs--241 pounds.
 Brienna--stop growing up!!!!
Zane did an excellent job showing his pig.
The pig pens at the fair.
Josey Grover, Brienna  & Taina Pfenninger showing their pigs.
 Brienna showing her pig.
Jake Mickelsen & Zane showing their pigs.
Callum standing by the pigs--with their show ribbons.
 Brienna with her pig.
Callum & all 300 pounds of his pig.
Brienna & all 335 pound of her pig.
Callum in the arena showing his pig (Matthew Murdock in the yellow shirt & the judge in the blue shirt).
Callum did a great job showing his pig!
All the kids did a great job showing their pigs--and they all sold for a great price.

Reservoir Lake 2012--Rusty & Michelle

I'm getting closer to finishing up with the pictures from our Reservoir Lake trip.
Rusty standing behind his brothers, Ken & Bill, listening to them play their guitars.
Michelle on her one 4-wheeler ride (taking a break)
Rusty by Van Houten Lake
My handsome husband.  We just celebrated our 21st Wedding Anniversary!  :)
Rusty playing baseball with Emmalee & Benjamin
Rusty with Zeb at the lake.
Rusty cooking breakfast--all the Stewart men/brothers do most of the cooking while we are camping.  I love it!
Zane steadying the canoe while Rusty gets Zeb ready to retrieve the "dummy"
This is me washing my hair--it sure felt good!
Holding Emmalee while Benjamin talks to me.  (My eyes still look very puffy & irritated).
This is one of my favorite pictures of me & Rusty.
 Relaxing for a few minutes.
Coming back from our hike around the lake--crossing the cattle guard that leads into the campground.
 Eating dinner.
Holding hands while I video some family time (so I can send something to Ethan)
