Outdoor Christmas Lights & BSU Football Game

Zane put our Christmas lights up this year.
In past years, I usually only put up a few around a window (so I don't have to climb high on a ladder).
I think they look very nice!  Zane had fun being on the roof.
Earlier on Saturday, Brienna was able to attend the Boise State vs. Wyoming game in Boise.
She had a lot of fun--and got the fun fuzzy headband (free).  She left at 5 am, and got home about 10 pm.
(Boise won 36-14--or something like that)

Thanksgiving 2011

We spent Thanksgiving weekend at Pamela's new house!  We helped her move from her apartment.
Ben slept on the floor by Pamela's new bed (which Rusty & I slept in--she stayed at her apartment with my parents where the other beds were).
Emmalee trying out one of the new couches.
Rusty putting together some of the new funiture.
Zane sleeping on a blow=up bed in the "office" (or movie room?)
Looking down the stairs from the side railing.
Ben sitting at the piano--the picture was taken from a few steps down.
Ben trying the stairs. (he had fun sliding down them on his bottom)
Zane coming out of the master bathroom.
Pamela's kitchen
Getting the food ready for Thanksgiving.

Sitting at the bar.
Getting ready for prayer.
Getting the food--and there's plenty of room!

We had 4 of us in the kitchen fixing/preparing the food--and we never bumped into each other!  Loved the space!
My mom resting on one of the couches.  This couch will actually go downstairs when the basement is finished next month.

We got Pamela pretty much moved out by the time we left on Friday.
We left in a blizzard--and I almost thought it was a bad idea to travel--but 15 minutes later we were out of the bad weather.  And had mostly dry roads.
I love Pamela's new house & we were glad we were able to do so much moving and cleaning over the long weekend!

Ready for Church

This is the suit that my mom made for Ethan when he was little.  So now all my boys have worn this suit.

 Emmalee and Benjamin

I think they are all ready!  Let's go!

Thanksgiving Decorations

Every year (since Ethan was very young--3 or 4), we have made a Thankful turkey.
For Family Home Evening, we list things we are thankful for and write them on the feathers.
This year the kids didn't want to stop listing things they were thankful for--but we ran out of feathers (and I didn't cut any more).
We found this artwork made by Brienna--in first grade! (that was 9 years ago)
This was the turkey Zane made in kindergarten (8 years ago)
And Callum's from kindergarten (5 years ago).
 Our Thanksgiving decorations
We made this egg heads only 2 times--and that was before Emmalee and Ben were born.  I guess we need to make them again sometime. (Ethan is joining us--at least in spirit & pictures)

And this is the plaque I won at the 4-H & National Honor Society Veteran's Day dinner.  Rusty really likes it--because he truly believes that you need to "Be Who You Are"!

Puzzled Benjamin

Benjamin has loved putting puzzles together for a long time.
But in the last few months, he has mastered 100 piece puzzles.  Yes--that's right.  100 pieces!
The puzzles with the shapes are way too easy, and even the 24 piece puzzles he can put together in a matter of minutes.
So I decided to take pictures of him putting together one of his puzzles
 while I was making rolls.
He was quick!  (I forgot to time it but I would guess he finished in 15 minutes)

Mom--why are you taking so many pictures???
Oh--and he was also watching a movie.

Okay, Mom.  I'm done.
Just missing one piece.
