October 2014--Halloween Fun

 Everyone did most of the gutting & carving by themselves!

 Ben was supposed to make a face like his pumpkin (the one on the right) but decided to go with a face like one he looked at earlier.

 Since we have a 4-day school week, we had our Halloween parties on Thursday, the 30th.  So Emmalee & Ben decided to dress up in one costume for school  & another one for trick-or-treating.

 at Ben's party.  I was able to have the games at Ben's party (thus no pictures since I was in charge of the games) since the parties were during music time.

 We had a musical program before the parties--it was my first all-school performance.  Over all, it was a great performance.  I learned a lot & the kids all did a great job.

 A princess fairy for trick or treating (and at Spooktacular).  This is the last year I will be in charge of Spooktacular (I have too many other jobs/callings/volunteer positions.  I am still PTO/Booster club president)

 Ben was Superman (the helmet was part of my costume=a "quarter" back--a giant quarter taped to my back)

In the past, Ethan or Brienna have taken the 2 youngest trick-or-treating, but this year it was turn.

 I think we hit almost every house that had their porch light on--and they got quite a haul!!

October 2014 Update--Part 2--Homecoming dance, Brienna, Ben & Dress up days

Ben fell off the monkey bars & hit his head on a chunk of concrete.  He ended up with a "glued" head (instead of stitches)

 He'll have a little bit of a scar, but it will be right on his hairline.

It was "Goth" day at the high school--the elementary kids said I looked scary :D

And of course, on the days that Zane & Callum dressed up, they didn't want a picture.

October 2014 Update--More football & homecoming

 Zane is #53.  

 He plays both defense & offense--usually most of the game.  Sometimes he only gets substituted only once or twice for a quick break.

 He did hurt his back a couple of times (from his previous back injury earlier in the year during basketball) & had to go to the chiropractor to get "straightened" out.

October 2014 Update--Part 1--Hunting

 Rusty took Emmalee hunting for the first time (not as a hunter, as an observer)

 Overall, she had a fun & good experience.  Here she is using Zane as a chair ;)

 Her feet did get a little cold. She only had tennis shoes--

 That is until after the last hunting trip. Then Callum was cleaning & found a pair of hiking boots that will fit her.

 This year, Callum got his first deer--right through the heart.

And Rusty got a nice little 2-point on his last day out.

Sept. Update 2014--Zane's football
