Today I had my whole body scan (WBS).
I had to lay still on the table for about 25 minutes.
The machine slowly "scanned" down from my head to my toes.
You can't see the screen very well, but there are 3 main "spots" in my neck area.
I don't have an appointment with my doctor until Aug. 14th, so I don't know if I'll have any more information until then.
But from what I can tell, there is still cancer in my neck (where the radioactive iodine has "attached/attacked").
It doesn't appear to have spread anywhere else (from an amateur's perspective) & from what I've read, I'll probably just have blood work done about every 3 months & another scan in 6 months.
I could "feel" the scan and could tell where it was on my body. The best way I could describe it is how I would imagine it would feel if I had little magnetic fibers trying to attach to a bigger magnet. I could feel the scan as it went down my body and it felt like I had something in my body trying to connect to the scanner machine. I know--weird!

We haven't talked in a long time. I keep trying to get back to blogging only to be distracted by life. Today I was thinking of all my old blogging friends. So, I have popped in to say Hi. Sorry to see you have been battling cancer too. I found out in April that I have breast cancer stage 4. I am in the middle/end of my chemo treatments. Praying that the tumors are gone and I can have my surgery.
Praying all goes well for you!
