Sinks Canyon & Sunset

we had to squeeze time in to get up to the Sinks!
it was nice & cool down at the Sinks!  Too bad we needed to get back to open b-day presents & eat dessert!
The boys could have climbed rocks for hours!
Rusty went to the top (observation area) to take pictures of us.
It is so beautiful!  (and did I mention cool!--it was 98 today)
I love my family!  We have had such a great time at my parents!
And really haven't had any fighting (yes--I just knocked on wood!)
My sister, Laurie at the top observation area.
What a view!
And of course--we had to stop at the Rise to see (and feed) the fish.
The kids are king of the rock!
Didn't get a very good picture, but here are a couple of the "giant" fish that we fed.
Saw quite a few deer on the drive home--including a momma & her fawn (that still had a ton of spots on it!)

Donuts & Family Fun

wouldn't be the 4th of July holiday celebration if we didn't get donut making in there!
Ben cutting some donuts & holes.

Emmalee--the use my great-grandmother's donut cutter!
This year they only made a "regular" batch.
 (Brienna taking a turn)
in the past--we have 1 1/2 the recipe or even doubled it.
Zane took a turn but didn't want a picture.
Ethan taking a turn--Tiffany watching him!
My mom & sister, Pamela.  They did all the work today because I was off trying to find a few last minute items that were left at home (or that I knew I needed to buy here in Lander)
Still a lot of donuts were made!
The Pitt's came over (they are just like family)
We had 6 little kids playing in the small kiddie pool.
Ben was the only one that was willing to let people pour water over his head.
So everyone did just that!  He was soaked!
There were 26 of us visiting in the shade.
Brienna had fun playing with Cache & Suzanne's youngest--Lauren.  Such a cutie!
It was another great day.  And I'm still not done talking about it!  (See next post)

Fireworks & More 4th of July FUN!

Clayleen holding her nephews (Cache & Suzanne's boys) Ryan & Logan
Ben lighting the smoke bombs all by himself.
Brienna bought all of our fireworks this year--and she did a great job!
Grandma even had to go and light a few smoke bombs!
Ben having a blast in the pool out back.
It was a great day--many memories made!
Grandma helping Emmalee light her smoke bomb.
It was so loud that Emmalee was trying to block out the noise (didn't work too well)
Callum trying to blow up some army men.
But they are some tough dudes!  Hardly even hurt them--after numerous attempts!
More smoke bomb fun!
They lit a "frog" fireworks & started the weeds against the white fence on fire.  Rusty was quick & used the birdbath water to put it out.
(You can see the burned spot in the picture of Ben lighting the smoke bomb by himself)
So we moved out front where it was a bit "safer" (and greener).  We always move out front for the bigger fireworks in the evening.
 Ben playing the lawn games.
My girls playing the lawn game (Brienna & Emmalee)
Ethan's string of firecrakers.  I have a video of Zane's 1,000 firecrackers!  It was fun :)
It was a great 4th of July--peaceful, fun, memory-making, hot, tiring, patriotic, and exciting!
