Ben & Emmalee misc.

Ben trying to scare me before pre-school
that's my handsome boy.  Ben is having difficulty staying at school without me there.  So I have been at pre-school for quite a few days.  I have tried a few different bribes to see if we can get him to stay without me there, but I haven't found that bribe that works yet.  He wants to come home, so I don't want to bring him home.  And he loves school & all the activities when he's there.  But we'll take one day at a time.
walking to school--I love that his backpack is almost as big as him.
Emmalee & Daddy relaxing in the hammock.  (Rusty sewed this hammock).
Emmalee playing dress-up.
what a silly little guy!

One of the "rules" for Ben is that if Mom has to go to school with him, then he doesn't get any TV or computer time that day.  So he pulled out a tote of puzzles & worked on puzzles all afternoon.  this is where I found him putting one of his puzzles together--on top of the table.

Zane's Football Game Sept. 13, 2013

Thursday was Pamela's birthday.  My mom, dad & sister Laurie all went to her house & I met them there Thursday afternoon.  We surprised Pamela when she came home from school.  Laurie made enchiladas & my mom made pumpkin pie for her.
Then on Friday, I drove Mom & Dad to Bancroft (N. Gem) to watch Zane's football game & Laurie waited w/Pamela until Pamela could leave school @2 to drive over to watch the game.

Taking a knee when Tresten Eddins was injured.
Coach Farr (on the right) attending to Tresten
Tresten's mom (Stephanie) went out to help.  (She is an EMT).  It was his knee & he couldn't put any weight on it.  They iced his knee during the game & then afterwards, drove him to Pocatello where a specialist met them to read the x-ray.  The good news is that is just a bad bruise--still painful, though.
Love that #61!
 The boys played hard!
The guy in the funky pants is a news reporter from Channel 6.  We checked it out, but didn't see anything on the news last night.
Zane catching the on-side kick--he ran it back 10-15 yards (I think--I'd have to look at the video again).

We played hard but came up a bit short.  We are a young team.  We had 2 seniors, & 1 junior playing in this game vs. a team that has a varsity & jv team (lots of seniors & juniors).
After the game.  Also--this was a hybrid game.  North Gem plays 8 man football so when they were on offense, we played an 8-man defense.  And when we were on offense, they played a 6-man defense.  So it was a bit interesting.
6-man football is tons of fun, though!  Everyone is eligible to receive & it seems easier to play all of our boys.  (we have 15 playing).

Zane's Football Games--Aug. 29 & Sept. 6, 2013

(Another blog post I thought I had posted)
This is a flashback picture from last season.  Zane looks sooo young!  We are missing our Tucker (we don't have any players his size on the team)
Zane is still #61.  They are playing 6-man this year.  It looks like a fun game--lots of action for sure!
Zane starts on both offense & defense.  We have 3 seniors playing, 1 junior, 2 freshman & 9--yes NINE sophomores playing.
Zane is a sophomore--all of these boys in this picture are sophomores (except for Coach Farr)
 Love my #61!

County Fair--Aug. 2013

(another post I found in my draft folder)
pigs getting loaded one last time.
washing the pigs & getting them ready for show.
Brienna washing her last 4-H pig.
Joni watching Brienna
Brienna's pig didn't make weight, but she was able to still show her pig.  That means we'll have a freezer full of bacon, ham & sausage!
Brienna & Zane--ready to show some pigs!

Everyone did a great job at fair this year.
