Movie Day & Beefcake Volleyball

 Callum's class picked the movie "Diary of a Whimpy Kid" for their dress=up day.

 He is dressed up as Rodrick==the older brother.  here is a picture of the actor:

Their band was called "Loded Diper" (loaded diaper).

 Brienna's  class movie was "Despicable Me" & so she wore a yellow shirt to be a minion.  (no picture of her today)  Zane's class movie was "The Avengers" 

 So he was Captain America--or at least carried the shield.  He tried really hard not to smile!

 This evening was Beefcake volleyball.  It was the Freshmen (8 of them) and Juniors (only 1 played) against the Seniors (5 of them) & the 1 Sophomore.

 It was an entertaining evening--all the seniors wore wigs/bandannas.

 Here are the the 9 boys on Zane's team.  Zane had a killer serve!  He didn't miss one, and actually got an ace.

Homecoming Week 2012

 This week is Homecoming Week.  Yesterday was inside out day--I didn't get any pictures of the kids wearing their clothes inside out.

 Tuesday was "Old School"--So Brienna wore my "puffy" sleeved dress

 and Zane sported an afro-wig along with aviator sunglasses.

 Big hair day was the theme at our house.

 Brienna made her hair as big as she could--I offered to assist her, but she declined  

I actually think that Zane looks good!  Tomorrow is movie-themed day.  Each class picked a movie and they are to dress up as a character from the movie.  More pictures to come!

Halloween Decorations 2012

 For Family Home Evening, We got our Halloween decorations out.

 Emmalee and Ben loved "discovering" all the noisy decorations :)

 Dad read a book to Emmalee and Ben after we finished.

 It's Safety Month so Ben's book was about firefighters and fire drills.

 After General Conference on Sunday, Zane pulled out the Twister game.

 I think everyone had a fun time being pretzels!  

 Thankfully the camera was NOT out when I took a turn!

Eastern Idaho State Fair--Sept. 1, 2012

 Saturday, September 1st we went to the State Fair in Blackfoot.  Brienna and Lindsay Farr went with Pamela early because Brienna never received a schedule of when her demonstration was.

 It wasn't until the afternoon, so we had all day to see the exhibits and ride a few rides.  

 Brienna took 2nd place (although everyone there thought she deserved 1st) and won the Homemaker's Award ($25 dollars award).  Afterwards, we went to Melina's to eat (yum, yum!!!)

 This is what we did before the demonstration:

 It was a warm/hot day and Ben was a bit tired.
