General Conference Care Package

This is the conference care package I put together
for Ethan and his companion to enjoy while watching conference.
I loved Elder Russell M. Nelson's talk about "Ask the missionaries".    As usual--I loved all of the talks!

Eastern Idaho State Fair--Sept. 1, 2012

Saturday, September 1st we went to the State Fair in Blackfoot.  Brienna and Lindsay Farr went with Pamela early because Brienna never received a schedule of when her demonstration was.
It wasn't until the afternoon, so we had all day to see the exhibits and ride a few rides.
Brienna took 2nd place (although everyone there thought she deserved 1st) and won the Homemaker's Award ($25 dollars award).  Afterwards, we went to Melina's to eat (yum, yum!!!)
This is what we did before the demonstration:
A shark exhibit.  he's dancing with the sharks.
Emmalee sitting by Taina Pfenninger and then Zane (in the black shirt)
It was a warm/hot day and Ben was a bit tired.
Emmalee and Pamela watching the older kids go on the rides.
Benjamin had it while we waited for Brienna's demonstration and was ready to walk home (or fly away with the balloons)
Getting a ride on Daddy's shoulders.
Zane, Lindsay & Brienna getting on the ride.
 Crazy kids!
 Emmalee on the carousal
 Benjamin riding a goat.
Rusty went with Callum on the Ferris Wheel
You can see Rusty & Callum's arms raised up high.
While we were looking at the exhibits, I ran into 2 of  my college roommates!
 Crazy--Michelle, Beth, and Linette :)
By the end, Benjamin was tuckered out!
I think we all wanted a nap--but we only had 1 stroller :)

Callum's 12th Birthday

Callum turned 12 on Sept. 25, 2012.  I can't believe it has been 12 years!
Callum wanted a cake that looked like his fort.  Since Brienna has been taking the dual credit class along with her other school work and activities,
she didn't have time to make/decorate a cake.  So instead of a "professional", Callum got the "amateur" version.
I thought it turned out "okay"
What it lacked in aesthetic value, it made up for it on taste!
 Ben sitting on Daddy's lap
Callum opening his mountain & flag/patriotic puzzles (to be hung in his playhouse)
 more and more presents!
 Emmalee & Brienna
 Singing "Happy Birthday" to Callum.
And making a wish as he blows out the candles.  Grandma & Grandpa Carter came over on Friday, the 28th for the weekend (for his priesthood ordination) and left on Monday, Oct. 1st.
